By accessing or using the StockSentry Telegram bot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Not Financial Advice (Strict Disclaimer)
StockSentry is an algorithmic data-processing tool, not a registered investment advisor, broker, or fiduciary.
- No Personalization: Alerts are generated mathematically based on public market data. They do not account for your personal financial situation, risk tolerance, or investment objectives.
- No Trading Execution: StockSentry cannot and will not execute trades on your behalf. You are strictly responsible for placing your own trades in your own brokerage account.
- Risk of Loss: All trading involves significant risk of loss. Past performance of the algorithm is not indicative of future results.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StockSentry and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:
- Trading losses incurred after acting on an alert (or failing to act).
- System downtime, delayed messages, or Telegram API failures that result in missed market movements.
- Inaccuracies in third-party data feeds (e.g., Yahoo Finance, Finnhub).
4. Acceptable Use & API Limits
You agree not to abuse the Service. This includes:
- Automating commands to the bot via external scripts.
- Attempting to bypass tier limits for tracked tickers or manual checks.
- Reselling or publicly broadcasting StockSentry alerts without explicit permission.
We reserve the right to rate-limit or terminate accounts that exhibit bot-like or abusive behavior, even on "Unlimited" tiers, to protect overall system integrity.
5. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
