Operations & Security
Does StockSentry execute trades for me?
- No. StockSentry is an intelligence and alerting tool only.
- We identify setups and send Telegram notifications.
- You are responsible for executing trades manually in your own brokerage account.
Do you connect to my brokerage account?
- No. We operate with zero financial visibility.
- We do not ask for API keys, login credentials, or account balances.
- We only store your Telegram ID and the specific ticker symbols you ask the bot to watch.
Why Telegram instead of a standalone app?
- Speed: Telegram's API allows for near-instant push notification delivery.
- Efficiency: No heavy charting app running in your background draining battery.
- Frictionless: You likely already have the app open; no context switching required to get an alert.
What markets do you cover?
- Currently limited to US Equities.
- Discovery scans are restricted to the highly liquid S&P 100 and NASDAQ 100 components.
- OTC, crypto, and forex are not supported.

- No credit card is required to join the waitlist or initiate the trial.
- After 14 days, the bot will cease monitoring unless you initiate a paid subscription via Stripe.
How do I cancel my subscription?
- Send the command
/accountto the bot in Telegram. - The bot will return a secure, temporary link to your Stripe Customer Portal.
- Click "Cancel Plan". Service remains active until the end of your billing cycle.
Do you offer refunds?
- No. Due to the nature of data processing costs, we do not offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.
- This is why we provide a strict, no-credit-card-required 14-day trial for evaluation.
Is this financial advice?
- Absolutely not. StockSentry is an algorithmic data tool.
- Alerts are generated based on mathematical technical indicators, not personalized fiduciary assessment.
- All trading involves risk. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
Usage & Strategy
I don't have any stock yet but I want to start. Is this bot useful for me?
- Yes, absolutely! The daily discovery scan is a great way to find potential investment ideas to research.
- Just keep in mind that StockSentry is an analysis tool, not a broker or a financial advisor.
- When you're ready to buy, you'll need to use your own brokerage account to place the trade.
How can I find new stocks to watch or buy?
- Our automated discovery scans do the heavy lifting for you.
- At the end of the trading day, the agent sweeps the S&P 100 to find strong chart setups that aren't on your radar yet.
- It then sends these ideas directly to your chat so you can look into them.
Does the app track after-market price changes?
- No. The agent actively monitors the markets only during standard trading hours.
- If a stock makes a big move overnight, the agent will catch it and include the update in your 8:30 AM morning briefing.
Is it worth paying for this app?
- Yes, having a dedicated assistant watching your portfolio helps you spot trend changes early so you can manage your risk.
- The agent sends you a daily P&L report, so you can easily see if it's adding value.
- The Catch: The math only works if you tell the bot the truth. You must log your actual, exact entry prices (using
/bought) so the agent knows exactly where your break-even points are to calculate accurate alert levels.
How can I get the most out of the app?
- Be accurate: Log the stocks you own and your exact entry prices using the
/boughtcommand. - Check the scans: Review the discovery scans for new ideas.
- Build a watchlist: See something interesting? Use
/watchso the agent starts tracking it every 30 minutes. - Do your homework: When the agent sends an alert that a stock looks ready, do your own research. If you decide to buy, immediately tell the agent via
/boughtso it can start watching your back.
Will the agent get better over time?
- Yes. The system evaluates its own performance.
- Every time the agent sends an alert (whether it suggests looking at a buy, a sell, or a stop-loss level), it records the call in our database.
- It then tracks that stock's trend for up to 30 days to see if the alert was accurate, which helps calibrate future analysis.
How exactly does the AI work?
- The agent pulls up to a year of historical price data, calculates 14 different technical indicators, and reads the latest news sentiment.
- The AI looks at all these different angles to form a clear verdict.
- Finally, it translates complex chart data into a simple, easy-to-read English message for you.
